Anji Play for TK

“Anji Play enables children to develop skills and knowledge that establish a robust foundation for success in school and in life."

-Dr. Peter Mangione, WestEd

Two children playing with wooden blocks and marbles outside on a blue carpet, with a third child walking in the background near large windows.

Now, more than ever, children need opportunities for play. Play supports social and emotional health and wellness, independence, and academic achievement, and can inform curriculum. Play also strengthens relationships between children and their school.

Two young girls are drawing and coloring on a large sheet of paper outdoors, with a wooden bench and greenery in the background.

For children transitioning into kindergarten, in particular, robust play experiences provide a foundation for creativity, problem solving, self-regulation, critical thinking, and a life-long love of learning.

Three women sitting indoors, smiling, engaging in a lively discussion. The woman in the center is showing a large white sheet with sketches to the others. There are papers and cups in their laps.

Anji Education offers responsive professional development focused on play, observation, reflection, materials, environments, curriculum development, and assessment.

“Anji Play PD has allowed me to refine my teaching practice in ways I never anticipated and I find myself even closer to my class and the playground injuries have become almost nonexistent. I am a stronger, more engaged teacher than I was when I began this and I know that I’m still learning and growing.”
